Job Description:
CBTax are seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Technical Specialist that is looking for a move into Professional Services.
The right candidate will have a Quantity Surveying background in residential and commercial projects and have the ability to prepare reports for the firms construction clients. CBTax are an award-winning, leading tax consultancy practice supporting clients with research and development (“R&D”) claims and other tax saving project work. CBTax are seeking a construction specialist with a Quantity Surveying background to join our team to support the firms continued growth across the UK. Experience
- Quantity Surveying background
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good understanding of building, construction and quantity surveying
- Highly organised and ability to plan and prioritise

- Excellent communicator and able to build and maintains excellent working relationships

Key responsibilities:
- Meeting clients to discuss projects they have been working on during the periods under review
- Managing multiple projects at any one time
- Report writing to assess clients qualifying projects
- Working with the team to deliver successful projects
- Liaise with clients to ensure you are able to create a robust technical overview of the technical projects being worked on
- Manage client expectations
- Advocate in using internal sales tools (Salesforce) to ensure an efficient process is adopted
Key skills:
- Relevant technical experience within the construction sector
- Ideally would have a Quantity Surveyor qualification
- Professional and articulate, reliable and motivated
- Comfortable working with people at all levels within the organization in a fast-paced environment
- Confident manner representing the brand with superb interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously

Key responsibilities:
You will be involved in a wide range of activities as part of the senior team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Be actively involved in supporting and helping manage the capital allowances offering
- Drive the internal and external business development opportunities and assist with the growth of the team
- Be involved in a wide range of fixed asset tax projects including discussing with clients their tax commitments and potential opportunities around fixed assets
